The Hammond Glacier is located on the NE side of the Haines Mountains, flowing NW for about 40 [mile]s to Sulzberger Ice Shelf in the Ford Ranges, Marie Byrd Land. Discovered in 1934 by the Byrd Antarctic Expedition, and named by Byrd for John Hays Hammond, American mining engineer and philanthropist.
